About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Medical Surgical Duration : 20 Weeks Shift : Day Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : Minimum of 1 year License : State or Compact license required Certifications : BLS Must-Have : - Previous charge experience - Patient ratio experience of 6 - Preferred experience with Epic charting system Description : Unit details include weekend coverage every other weekend. Call is not required. Floating may be necessary within the facility and scope of practice as needed. If one major holiday occurs during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work on it. If two major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both holidays. If three major holidays occur, the traveler must work at least two of the holidays. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving / Black Friday, Christmas Eve / Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve / New Year's Day. Full compliance is required to start on time. If compliance is not completed in time, the start may be pushed back by two weeks due to orientation scheduling. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. References from two supervisory professionals are highly preferred at the time of submission. The maximum allowable request for time off is 7 days, which is required upon submission. Travelers must be available to submit core items and complete necessary requirements within 48 hours of signing the contract. Candidates must be away from all facility locations for a full year before returning as travelers. Modules are non-billable and are typically completed during orientation. Modules are recorded via transcripts.
