Test Automation Engineer
Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Automation Engineer to join our Agile development team. As a Test Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the design, development, and implementation of automated tests. You will work closely with the development and QA teams to identify test requirements, develop test cases, and build automated testing frameworks. Proficiency in automation tools, specifically Mabl, as well as solid knowledge of HTML, and .Net technologies are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with development team and Product Owner to understand software requirements and develop comprehensive test strategies and plans.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Design and develop automated test scripts using the Mabl automation tool, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
Create and maintain test data, test environments, and test harnesses to support automated test execution.
Execute automated tests, analyze test results, and promptly report any defects or issues discovered.
Continuously implement,improve and expand the automated testing framework to increase test coverage and efficiency.
Build, monitor and maintain the automated test suite, ensuring its accuracy, reliability, and relevance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues and improve overall product quality.
Stay up to date with emerging trends and advancements in test automation and apply them to enhance our testing processes.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on automated testing.
Proficiency in using the Mabl automation tool to create and execute automated tests.
Solid understanding of HTML, .Net, and Java technologies.
Strong programming skills in scripting languages used by Mabl.
Familiarity with software development methodologies, agile practices, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Experience with version control systems, such as Git, for managing test code repositories.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Proactive mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
Skills:
Experience with other test automation tools and frameworks.
Experience with Azure DevOps.
Knowledge of performance testing and tools like JMeter or Gatling.
Experience working with relational databases and writing SQL queries for data validation.
