Job Summary :
Are you a problem-solver with a knack for fixing just about anything? We're looking for a Maintenance Technician who's a true jack of all trades ! In this role, you'll tackle a variety of tasks, from basic electrical, carpentry, and plumbing repairs to troubleshooting and repairing household appliances. No two days are the same, and your versatility and can-do attitude will make a real difference in keeping our operations running smoothly.
JOB DUTIES :
Perform routine maintenance in and around the ISLsFix structural damage, such as windows, floors, doors, walls, etc.Repair broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixturesPerform minor electrical tasks, such as replacing light fixtures, electrical outlets, light switches, etc.Maintain HVAC equipment to keep climate control in the facility functioning properlyApply preventative measures to reduce the risk of future problems, such as caulking bathroom and kitchen fixtures, doors, windows, etc.Painting interior or exterior of houses when neededFixing or reporting any safety hazards to avoid injuriesPerform minor and routine maintenance on company vehiclesDuties as assignedJob Qualifications / Requirements
Strong understanding of facilities maintenance and the tools needed to maintain quality and integrityMust own tools needed for basic home repair : Tape measure, screwdriver set, socket set, drill / driver, adjustable wrench, utility knife, set of pliers, flashlight, etc.Ability to think creatively and to develop timely solutions to facility problemsExcellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasksPositive team spirit and displays a great attitudeMaintain clean and safe work environment; when finished, leave the work area the same as when you arrivedDemonstrate attention to detail and look for ways to improve safety and qualityReports questionable conditions to supervisorPhysical Demands
Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time; stoop, kneel, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, grasp, and pinch on a continual basisThe employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 10-20 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 20-50 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move up to 70 poundsThe employee is frequently required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controlsHearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations and to receive ordinary informationEmployees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testingEducation and / or Experience Requirements
