The Department of Imaging Sciences at The University of Rochester is seeking an ABR certified / eligible radiologist with expertise in cardiothoracic imaging for a full-time faculty appointment at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Candidates must have fellowship training in cardiothoracic imaging or commensurate experience. The position includes an academic appointment with the University of Rochester. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated strong clinical skills and actively participate in teaching, research, and service. You will join a collegial team of dedicated physicians and staff, who thrive in both a hospital and outpatient clinical practice that is ever-evolving. The cardiothoracic imaging division is responsible for providing consultation for all facets of cardiothoracic imaging (plain film, CT, and MRI). Our volumes are increasing and include a wide variety of diseases. Active participation in fellow, resident, and medical student education is expected. We anticipate continued involvement in research activities with pathology, pulmonary, cardiology, and surgical partners. Interdepartmental conferences are ongoing and increasing in number.

Qualified candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology, have completed fellowship training in cardiothoracic imaging or have extensive experience in thoracic and cardiac imaging. Duties include clinical patient care, medical education of students, residents and fellows, interdisciplinary conferences, and scholarly activity. Candidates must have or be eligible to obtain a New York State Medical License.

The Department of Imaging Sciences at the University of Rochester is a practice of approximately 90 radiologists and 25-30 residents and fellows. Technical highlights include state of the art information technology, 3T MRI, a clinical PET / MRI, Dual Energy CT and digital PET / CT. The department's PACS system is integrated into a comprehensive electronic clinical information system. The referenced pay range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be detemined within the job's salary range and established base on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
