Position Summary
The Process Analyst supports process improvement and operational excellence within an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) environment. This role focuses on collecting and analyzing production data, identifying performance trends, and assisting with process optimization to improve yield, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and report production and process data (yield, downtime, defects, throughput, rework).
- Interpret customer documentation specifications, prints, and bill of materials to change or modify manufacturing processes that meet the most current IPC standards.
- Identify trends, process bottlenecks, and root causes of variation using data analysis tools.
- Support implementation of continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Partner with process and quality engineers to develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain and monitor SPC charts, KPIs, and dashboards for process control.
- Assist Technical Writers in documentation of process flows, standard work, and control plans.
- Required to participate and / or lead NPI meetings to correctly identify and work through any production challenges regarding new product launch, and then monitor each step of the prototype run to ensure manufacturability, quality, and productivity goals are met.
Qualifications
Associates in engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field, or High School Diploma / GED with 24 years of experience in manufacturing or process analysis; EMS or PCBA experience preferred.Strong analytical skills with experience using Excel, Power BI, or statistical tools (Minitab preferred).Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, and process documentation practices.Familiarity with electronic assembly processes (SMT, Through-Hole, Box Build) is a plus.Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.Key Competencies
