About the Opportunity
This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Co., a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [FEU].
We are seeking an experienced and driven individual to join our Project Management Project Controls team as an experienced Business Analyst in the Construction and Design Services organization. In this role, you will play a key part in analyzing and reporting financial and resource data, developing operational metrics, and driving strategic performance improvements across the business unit.
This position can be located anywhere in the FirstEnergy footprint reporting out of Holmdel, Morristown, Akron, Greensburg, Reading, Erie or Fairmont.
Responsibilities include :
Reporting and Analysis : Lead the development and delivery of accurate, timely financial and operational reports on transmission and rider program resources using tools such as QlikView, Power BI, TOAD Data Point, and Microsoft Office Suite. Interpret complex data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments to ensure alignment of goals and consistency in reporting. Serve as a key liaison to facilitate communication and support strategic initiatives.
Executive-Level Presentations : Develop and deliver high-quality executive-level presentations that communicate operational and financial strategies. Translate complex data into actionable insights for leadership decision-making.
Process Improvement : Utilize reporting systems and tools to automate processes, enhance data accuracy, and identify opportunities for operational efficiency.
Strategic Support : Provide analytical support for project planning, forecasting, and performance tracking. Contribute to the development of business cases and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications include :
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline is required with a minimum of 7 years related experience. Advanced degree a plus. In lieu of a degree, 10 years of related experience is required. Relevant experience includes using tools like Power BI, TOAD, and Excel to analyze data, generate reports, and support decision-making in business, finance, or project environments.
Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as QlikView and Power BI.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a high attention to detail.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with construction and design services industry practices and terminology is preferred.

FirstEnergy takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. In addition, your actual base salary will depend on various factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience.
The estimated pay range for this role is $77,350- $121,200. The pay range for certain locations, including the state of New Jersey, includes a 20% differential to account for an increased cost of living, making the pay range $92,820- $145,440.
