Unit Clerk 3 West Ortho Shift

Full-time | 6 : 30 AM 7 : 00 PM | 36 hours / week Includes every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays

Our 34-bed unit specializes in orthopedic care and has earned Blue Distinction for excellence in total hip and knee replacement. In addition to orthopedic patients, we care for a diverse medical / surgical adult population. As part of a smaller hospital, we pride ourselves on a family-like atmosphere and a collaborative team environment.

What You'll Do :

  • Provide clerical and administrative support to ensure smooth unit operations.
  • Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and record management.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous healthcare or clerical experience preferred.

    Responsibilities

  • Manages supplies and patient care supplies i.e., order, obtain and store supplies.
  • Performs job tasks and duties as outline in the job description / task list while in a secured area.
  • Assists with maintaining readiness of patient care equipment.
  • Efficiently and accurately maintains patient records.
  • Utilizes a holistic approach appropriate to the age of the patients and families served in the assigned service area.
  • Demonstrates initiative to improve quality and customer service by striving to exceed customer expectations.
  • Prioritizes dissemination of information using available technology.

    • Qualifications

  • Education : High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English.
  • Experience : Customer service in a medical field or office preferred.
  • License(s) / Certification(s) : Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
  • Knowledge / Skills / Abilities : Administrative / Clerical Support and Customer Service.
