Job Summary :

The Employment Specialist (ES) provides vocational assessment, employment preparations, job development, and job placement services. The Employment Specialist participates in activities to educate, recruit and support clients and employers. The Employment Specialist serves as an employment liaison between clients, employers, and community partners. The Employment Specialist assists the client by providing a variety of supportive and employment-related services, some of which may include mentoring, coaching, transportation or other services. The Employment Specialist supports program adherence to the DMH and / or DOR contract.

The Employment Specialist (ES) needs to be a self-starter and able to work independently. The ES needs to demonstrate flexibility and excellent organizational skills. The ES needs to be able to operate from a strengths-based perspective.

Requirements :

Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) preferred in psychology, social work, Sociology or related field, together with at least six (6) months related client care or employment service experience.

• Or Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in non-related field, together with at least one (1) year related client care or employment service experience.
• Or less than a college degree and two (2) years related client care or employment service experience.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred (verbal skillset only).
• Valid California driver's license; current automobile insurance; have and maintain a clean driving record acceptable to the organization's insurance company; have immediate access to his or her vehicle during work hours.

Position Location : Lancaster, CA

Salary Range : $23.74 - $33.77 per hour

Additional $1.00 per hour bilingual Spanish differential.
