Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our Business Intelligence team at Liberty Coca-Cola Beverages. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and Snowflake-based data warehouses to support enterprise analytics, demand planning, sales forecasting, supply chain optimization, and marketing analytics.
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Supply Chain to ensure high data quality and performance for business-critical reporting and insights.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and Snowflake data models optimized for performance and cost-efficiency
- Develop ELT processes using tools like dbt, Airflow, or similar applicationsto transform raw data into clean, actionable insights
- Integrate data from various CPG sources (POS, syndicated data like Nielsen/IRI, ERP systems like SAP, Salesforce, etc.)
- Support both BI development and Data Scientist roles by collaborating on advanced analytics and AI initiatives, helping to design and implement data solutions that enhance AI capabilities across the company
- Collaborate with our BI developer and Data Scientist, along with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into Snowflake data solutions
- Optimize Snowflake compute resources (warehouses, caching, partitioning) to minimize cost and maximize performance
- Implement processes to ensure data quality, data governance, and security standards are upheld
- Write and maintain documentation for data architecture, pipelines, and transformations
- Support data monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of ETL/ELT workflows through MS Fabric
- Implement best practices for version control, CI/CD, and testing of data pipelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 1–2 years focused on Snowflake
- Strong experience in SQL, especially Snowflake SQL features (e.g., streams, tasks, time travel, zero-copy cloning)
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools like dbt, ADF
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred)
- Understanding of data modeling techniques, especially dimensional modeling (star/snowflake schema)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and associated data services
- Strong knowledge of CPG datasets and KPIs (e.g., shipment data, retail POS data, trade promotions, category performance) is a big plus
