Experience teaching elementary, grades K-6
Willing to participate in Professional Development
Experience with the implementation of the Common Core Standards, NYSE, ELA and Math Modules and instructional strategies
Experience implementing Common core aligned units, lesson and assessments
Effective classroom management skills, demonstrated knowledge of the curriculum, including planning, execution, and evaluation of materials, supplies and lessons
Strong math and literacy background
Character traits necessary to teach young children – enthusiasm, warmth and dedication
Ability to differentiate instruction
Strong communication and teaming skills
Lifelong learner
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Small group- Literacy
Data analysis
Record keeping – student progress
Ability to plan instruction to meet student needs
Ability to co-teach in “push-in” setting
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
SALARY: $36,344 - $41,349 Per WTA Contract
