Position : RN-MedSurg Peds (Travel / Contract)

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients in a MedSurg setting.

Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.

Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting changes to the medical team.

Utilize performance metrics to evaluate and improve personal work outcomes.

Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.

Manage time effectively to meet patient care deadlines and targets.

Adhere to safety and infection control protocols at all times.

Engage in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and outcomes.

Foster a positive and supportive environment for patients and families.

Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing staff.

Experience / Qualifications

Valid RN license in Oklahoma with pediatric MedSurg experience.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.

Strong communication skills for effective patient and family education.

Proficient in patient assessment and monitoring techniques.

Understanding of safety and infection control protocols.

Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Ability to manage time effectively to meet care deadlines.

Experience in maintaining accurate patient care documentation.

Willingness to engage in team meetings for strategy discussions.

Experience in mentoring or training new nursing staff.
