Must-Have : Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred

Description :

This is a winter job with flexible scheduling.

Candidates may work 13 weeks or up to mid-January for holiday coverage.

Requested Time Off (RTO) policy allows a maximum of 1 of 3 major holidays off.

A 7-day maximum total RTO is permitted with no RTO allowed within the first 2 weeks of employment.

The unit focuses on bone marrow transplant and oncology care.

Nurses may work varying schedules based on department needs.

Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period.

Candidates must have experience with patients diagnosed with various types of leukemia and lymphoma.

Special procedures include autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic transplants.

There is a heavy emphasis on infection prevention protocols and patient safety.

Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias is required.

Nurses will provide care and management of central lines, PICC lines, and adminster chemotherapy and blood products.

Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of handling post-chemotherapy body fluids and recognize abnormal lab values.

Interdisciplinary support includes various health services to assist in patient care.

The unit houses a specific number of beds and caters to adult and geriatric populations.

Flexibility in scheduling is essential, with potential weekend work required.

Two professional references are required for application.

All candidates must have education from an accredited nursing program.
