Location : Portland, Oregon 97239
Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER RN)
Start Date : December 30, 2025 (weekly Tuesday starts available)
End Date : March 31, 2026
Contract Duration : 13 weeks
Shifts : 3x12-hour night shifts (17 : 00–05 : 30 or 19 : 00–07 : 30)
Hours per Week : 36
Estimated Weekly Pay : $1,930 – $2,070
Patient Ratios : 1 : 3–4
Weekend Requirement : Yes
Floating : Within hospital departments as needed
Charting System : EPIC
Scrubs : Provided for OR
ER RN Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience in a Level I or II Trauma Center
Travel nursing experience required (at least 1 year if recent EPIC experience)
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon or compact state (pending license accepted with proof of application)
EPIC charting experience required
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC preferred
No background or license hits accepted
Professional references required
Compliance documents due one week prior to start; modules completed pre-start
Locals accepted
Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities
Assess patient needs and coordinate emergency interventions in a high-acuity Emergency Department
Deliver care for trauma, acute stroke, STEMI, psychological emergencies, sepsis, and patients with complex medical histories
Administer and monitor procedures including moderate / deep sedation, ultrasound, intubation, cardioversion, D&C, sexual assault exams, CPR, and imminent deliveries
Manage patients with alcohol and drug abuse histories
Perform advanced ER nursing skills : blood product administration, central line care, chest tube management, IV sedation, CPAP / BiPAP, ABG / dysrhythmia interpretation, splinting, neuro / ortho trauma, phlebotomy, procedural sedation, psychiatric holds, spinal cord injury, STEMI / stroke protocols, triage, ventilated patients
Float within hospital departments as needed
