JOB SUMMARY
The Culinary Expert plays a vital role in ensuring a clean and sanitary kitchen while swiftly preparing delicious food orders that fulfill guests' requests and meet our high-quality standards. This position requires strong communication with the service team and expo to ensure every dish exceeds guest expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Expertly prepare a variety of foods using diverse cooking methods while following specific preparation protocols and ensuring beautiful plate presentation.
- Excel in a fast-paced environment by efficiently managing multiple tasks within set time limits.
- Effectively utilize the Kitchen Display System (KDS) to maintain service flow, control waste, and prepare items per specifications, including accommodating guest modifications.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols to keep a clean and safe working environment.
- Consistently follow recipes to deliver high-quality, uniform products to our guests.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and ensure the timely flow of prepared food.
- Communicate anticipated ticket times and any potential issues to managers and servers promptly.
- Complete assigned prep work to setup and stock cooking stations for efficiency.
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize the work area at the end of each shift according to the HOH Cleaning Program.
- Ensure proper stock rotation and maintain items at required par levels.
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized throughout your entire shift.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs frequently throughout your shift and store items in high places and walk-in freezers.Must be able to stand for the entire shift.Comfortable working in a hot, damp environment regularly.Experience working with open flames and kitchen equipment is a plus.Capable of holding kitchen tools and instruments for extended periods, generally weighing around 5 lbs.Able to read a kitchen display monitor from a distance of 4 feet.Possess effective communication skills to enhance guest satisfaction.Willingness to adapt to a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires consistent attendance and the ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods. Frequent physical activities include hearing, speaking, walking, crawling, climbing, reaching, bending, balancing, kneeling, stooping, lifting, and carrying items up to 70 lbs. Candidates should be able to handle significant temperature changes and frequently immerse hands in water and various cleaning solutions. Vision requirements include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
