Sterile Processing Technician

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for sterilizing, processing, and maintaining supplies, instruments, and equipment in a fast-paced healthcare environment, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients. This opportunity is for full-time, 10-hour shifts (4 shifts per week), and is designated for the evening shift (12 : 00pm start time). In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for evening shift differential up to $1.90 / hr.

As a successful candidate, you will :

• Supply Sterilization : Perform the decontamination, cleaning, disinfection, assembly, and sterilization of medical instruments, supplies, and equipment using approved sterilization techniques and equipment.
• Supply Restocking : Replenish and maintain storage of supplies and case cart systems to ensure the availability of sterile equipment and instruments for surgical and medical procedures.
• Inventory Control : Manage inventory control procedures, including labeling and proper documentation of sterilized packages, and monitor inventory levels to meet departmental needs.
• GI Scope Processing : Process and maintain endoscopic instruments, including GI scopes, to the highest standards, ensuring patient safety and infection control.
• Quality Assurance : Report faulty equipment, deficiencies in procedures, and non-compliance with sterilization standards, contributing to the safety and quality of patient care.
• Educational Participation : Actively participate in educational programs and in-service meetings to stay updated on best practices, new technologies, and changes in sterilization protocols.
• Timeliness : Perform all duties efficiently and under urgent timelines to support surgical schedules and patient care.
