Job Description
Manage commercial and multifamily construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This office-based role focuses exclusively on project administration, contracts, scheduling, and budgets while field superintendents handle on-site operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead project buyout process and subcontractor procurement
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules
- Administer contracts and process change orders
- Monitor project budgets and implement cost controls
- Prepare monthly billing and payment applications
- Manage RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings
- Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance
- Serve as primary client contact throughout project lifecycle
- Coordinate with field superintendent on logistics and scheduling
- Conduct project meetings with owners, architects, and consultants
- Facilitate project closeout and warranty processes
Required Qualifications
Minimum 10 years construction project management experienceCommercial and / or multifamily construction backgroundExpert knowledge of construction contracts and procurementProficient with scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera, Procore, or similar)Strong financial analysis and budget management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesExperience managing projects from $5MPreferred Qualifications
Experience with both bid-based and cost-plus delivery methodsPMP or CCM certificationKnowledge of sustainable building practicesEstablished relationships with local subcontractor communityPhysical Requirements
