Position Summary

The Associate Director of Distribution oversees all aspects of product warehousing, logistics, and shipment operations to ensure timely and compliant delivery of pharmaceutical products to hospitals, distributors, and GPO partners. This role plays a critical part in maintaining Medivant’s reputation for efficiency, quality, and regulatory compliance by leading a team focused on distribution strategy, inventory accuracy, and FDA / DEA-compliant handling of pharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations across warehousing, inventory control, order fulfillment, and transportation logistics.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, and cGMP requirements for distribution and product traceability.
• Oversee cold chain management and proper storage of temperature-sensitive products.
• Develop and execute distribution strategies to improve on-time delivery, accuracy, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Quality, and Production to ensure seamless product release and shipment.
• Maintain relationships with 3PL providers, carriers, and logistics partners to optimize delivery performance.
• Manage and analyze distribution KPIs, including fill rates, lead times, and inventory turns.
• Ensure proper recordkeeping, documentation, and lot traceability for all outbound shipments.
• Support and lead audits, both internal and external (FDA, state board of pharmacy, DEA, and customer audits).
• Mentor and develop team members within the logistics and warehouse departments.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, onsite position located at Medivant’s Chandler and Deer Valley facilities. Work is performed in warehouse and administrative office environments. Some travel between sites may be required.
