Here's a snapshot of the job :

Pay :   $20 -$27 per hour based on experience and certification

Location :  St. Paul or Golden Valley clinics

Job Summary :   The Veterinary Technician is responsible for providing the care, examination, evaluation, and treatment of animals in accordance with established policies and under the direction of veterinarians.

Requirements

Here are some additional requirements we're looking for :

Physical Demands :

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted and 100+ lbs. assisted, with prolonged periods of standing and walking.

Emotional Demands :

Must be emotionally resilient and comfortable with the emotional aspects of veterinary work, including handling a variety of animals with diverse behavioral and medical needs, and performing humane euthanasia.

Schedule and Attendance :

Required to be punctual for scheduled shifts during operational hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Attendance at regular team meetings and one-on-one meetings with direct leaders is necessary, and there may be a need to work at different sites or attend occasional off-site meetings and events.

Work Environment :

The environment can be dirty, wet, warm, and humid, with exposure to zoonotic diseases, pests such as fleas and ticks, unpleasant odors, chemicals, and noises, including barking. There is a possibility of being bitten or scratched, and exposure to extreme weather conditions such as cold, heat, rain, and snow when outside.
