Advantra is partnering with a major financial services organization to hire a DevOps Production Support Engineer to maintain CI / CD pipelines support deployments and ensure uptime across enterprise applications. This role focuses on environment stability automation and continuous improvement in release operations.
About the role
You will manage build and deployment operations troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with development and infrastructure teams to maintain system health. The role includes supporting CI / CD pipelines automating manual processes and improving release efficiency across cloud and on-prem environments.
Responsibilities
Provide L2 and L3 production support for build deployment and infrastructure operations.
Manage application deployments and coordinate release activities with QA and development teams.
Monitor production systems for performance availability and stability.
Troubleshoot build and deployment issues in real time.
Maintain and enhance CI / CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI.
Automate operational tasks using Python Shell or PowerShell scripts.
Administer source control and artifact repositories.
Support cloud infrastructure and assist with patching and environment setup.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions.
Participate in on-call rotations and weekend release activities.
Maintain process and deployment documentation.
Core requirements
4 years of experience in DevOps Build and Release or Production Support roles.
Hands-on experience with CI / CD tools like Jenkins GitLab or Bamboo.
Strong understanding of source control and artifact management (GitLab Nexus Artifactory).
Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with cloud environments and infrastructure automation.
Experience using monitoring tools like Splunk or Dynatrace.
Proficiency in scripting with Python Shell or PowerShell.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Willingness to work second shift and participate in on-call rotations.
Knowledge of ITIL processes for incident problem and change management.
Nice to have
Experience supporting Salesforce or MuleSoft deployments.
Exposure to hybrid cloud and container orchestration environments.
Experience improving deployment automation and release efficiency.
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools.
