Senior Director, Integrated Marketing
Claremont McKenna College seeks an experienced marketing professional to showcase the work and mission of our nationally leading institution. The Senior Director, Integrated Marketing in the Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing will be an expert in marketing strategies, brand management, and the higher education environment with a passion for capturing the dynamics of college life, including the residential college experience, academic life within and outside the classroom, off-campus learning, admission, athletics, and advancement priorities.
Under the direction of the Associate Vice President for Strategic Communications and Marketing, the Senior Director, Integrated Marketing is responsible for development and implementation of the College's marketing efforts. The senior director plans strategies and deploys content in alignment with, and in support of, Claremont McKenna College's mission, goals, and priorities. The senior director is responsible for several marketing initiatives that will achieve defined objectives; champion brand and mission consistency; develop marketing plans for College priorities; and serve as an in-house marketing consultant for some administrative departments including Admission, Advancement, and Research Institutes, among others. The senior director serves on the Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing's senior leadership team along with the Associate Vice President and two Executive Directors.

Qualification Standards & Skills :
Education : Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required, preferably in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience : A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in communications and marketing, including some management and strategic, independent decision making, is required. Experience working with networked, collaborative teams in a higher education setting is preferred.
Licenses : A valid driver's license or equivalent alternate form of transportation to off-site meetings and events is required.

Required Hours : The regular hours for this full-time position are 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Holiday, weekend and evening work hours may be required. Travel may be required. Regular hours may vary due to needs of the College or division.
Classification and Status : This is a regular, full-time, 12-month, exempt, benefits eligible position.
Salary : The anticipated salary range is $100,000 to $120,000 per year. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Supervisory Responsibility : None
Grooming and Appearance : Employees are expected to wear attire that is appropriate to the office or department in which they work.
Background Check : The successful candidate will be required to undergo a full consumer background check. Certain positions will require the successful completion of a post-offer physical agility test. Employment is contingent on the satisfactory results of the aforementioned, in addition to compliance with requirements cited in this job description.
