Responsibilities

The Nurse Educator in the Burn Unit will play a critical role in facilitating the professional development of Community Health Systems (CHS) ICU nursing staff and ancillary staff ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety within our burn unit. This position involves planning implementing and evaluating educational programs as well as providing mentorship to nurses. Additionally the Nurse Educator will actively engage in patient care to maintain clinical competence.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) or graduation from an accredited School of Nursing

Experience

Approximately two years clinical experience in Critical Care / ICU

Experience in patient and staff education development and implementation quality improvement program development and professional development required

Licenses and Certifications

RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required

BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required

Additional unit specific requirements required
