Facility in Newport News, VA seeking GI locums coverage Rates - $3000 / day plus $450 / hr call back Job Overview :

  • Start Date : Open (immediate need due to provider medical leave).
  • Practice Setting : Acute care community hospital.
  • Clinical Focus : Inpatient consults for adult patients in gastroenterology.

Key Details :

  • Call Ratio : All.
  • Average Patient Volume :
  • Hospital-Based Patients : 5-10 per day.
  • Support : Solo practice.
  • EMR : Epic.

    • Required Procedures :

  • Lower GI Endoscopy : Colonoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS).
  • Upper GI Endoscopy :
  • Diagnostic and Therapeutic Endoscopy.
  • Endoscopy with Biopsy, PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy).
  • Fulguration of Bleeder (Cautery vs. Laser).

    • Requirements :

  • Board Certified in Gastroenterology : Required.
  • Active Virginia License : Required.
  • Certifications : BLS and ACLS (Required).
  • Experience : Proficiency in listed procedures.
