About the Company
We are working with a long-established manufacturer undergoing strategic transformation following a recent private equity acquisition. The business is transitioning from a historically family-operated structure to a more rigorous, data-driven, and audit-ready finance environment, facing multiple concurrent initiatives including increased reporting requirements, year-end preparation, and a future ERP upgrade.
Position Overview
Due to rapid organizational change and a critical resource gap, the company seeks an
experienced, highly self-sufficient Senior Accountant
to immediately support month-end close, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset processes, and recurring reporting. The successful candidate will work side-by-side with the Head of Finance and be instrumental in stabilizing daily accounting operations during this period of growth and modernization.
This role requires strong independence, speed, and comfort navigating legacy ERP systems with limited handholding.
Key Responsibilities
Daily reconciliation of two bank accounts and related GL activity
Prepare and manage fixed asset schedules, prepaid roll-forwards, and amortization
Download, clean, pivot, and map expense data (Amex / Truist / expense tools)
Support month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting deliverables
Upload processed data and support transactional accuracy within Microsoft NAV / NA ERP
Collaborate directly with the Head of Finance to ensure continuity and operational control during transformative enterprise initiatives

Expense Data Downloads + Uploads - 25%
Month-End Close / Reconciliations - 30%
Required Qualifications
4-6+ years of corporate accounting experience
(or equivalent hands-on)
Proven experience handling
month-end close from start to finish
Intermediate-advanced Excel skills
(VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIF)
Ability to learn and navigate legacy ERP systems with minimal training
Demonstrated success working independently in lean teams
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
Experience in a
private equity-backed , high-growth, or transformation environment
Manufacturing / food & beverage / industrial industry exposure
System implementation or ERP upgrade involvement (future program planned)
