Work Setting : On-Site
Hourly Rate : $18.00 to $20.50 per hour, DOE and depending on shift
What You'll Do : The Impact You'll Make
As a Residential Aide, you will help maintain a safe, supportive, and engaged environment for residents transitioning from incarceration and homelessness. You will be a consistent, calming presence while supporting residents' daily needs and helping maintain smooth program operations.
Resident Support and Care
- Respond promptly and professionally to resident needs
- Monitor clients to ensure a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment
- Provide assistance with daily chores and personal care to support independence
- Assist with meal preparation, serving, and program activities as assigned
- Maintain confidentiality in all resident interactions
Monitoring and Safety
Conduct regular rounds and monitor the facility to ensure safety and cleanlinessEnsure resident rooms, hallways, laundry areas, and restrooms are clean, disinfected, and free of hazardsRespond appropriately to emergencies and unusual incidents, completing required documentationDocumentation and Reporting
Complete daily logs, end-of-shift reports, and obtain necessary signaturesDocument and report incidents, injuries, and other unusual occurrencesCommunicate relevant updates to oncoming staff and the Program ManagerAdministrative and Facility Support
Answer telephones, take messages, and greet visitors in a professional mannerSupport staff with program services, class setup, recreation, and other eventsMonitor and record client self-administration of prescribed medicationsPerform additional tasks as assigned by the Program ManagerWhat You'll Bring : Your Qualifications
Required
High School diploma or GEDAt least one year of experience in mental health, substance use treatment, or social services supporting individuals experiencing homelessnessCandidates with lived experience are encouraged to applyIf in recovery, at least one year of continuous sobrietyAbility to remain calm and professional during stress or conflictProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and database systemsValid California Driver License, clean driving record, and insurability under agency policyLive Scan background check requiredPreferred
Current CPR certificationPatient and able to create a calming presence in stressful situationsStrong organizational and communication skillsCollaborative team player who is adaptable, consistent, and compassionatePrior experience answering phones, greeting visitors, or providing administrative supportAdditional Requirements
