Position Summary
The Program Support Specialist plays a key, outward‑facing role in KVC’s Shared Living program. You will :
Match individuals with intellectual and / or developmental disabilities with certified Shared Living homesSupport Shared Living Providers and the DD Team throughout the intake, placement, and ongoing service processManage important documentation and financial tracking related to representative payee accountsServe as a positive ambassador for KVC with community partners, referral sources, and providersThis is a great role for someone who enjoys relationship‑building, problem‑solving, and detailed coordination—and who wants their daily work to directly improve people’s lives.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
High school diploma requiredBachelor’s degree in human services or related field preferredExperience
Minimum of two years of experience in Human Services or a related fieldTwo or more years of experience in one or more of the following preferred :Developmental Disabilities
Child WelfareJuvenile JusticeMental Health assessment / treatmentPayment processing or financial trackingCertification / Licensure
At least 21 years of ageValid driver’s license and auto insurancePreferred Skills & Competencies

Shared Living Matching & Placement
Match Individuals with Intellectual / Developmental Disabilities with certified Shared Living homesCoordinate placements and ensure compliance with state regulations and KVC policiesRecruit, interview, and support Shared Living Providers; complete DHHS home studiesServe as the primary contact for Shared Living Providers during intake and placementCoordinate and attend pre‑placement visits between participants and providersMaintain accurate tracking systems and provider profiles (including Canva‑based profiles for referral sources)Relationship‑Building & Collaboration
Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources and community partnersWork closely with Shared Living Specialists and DD‑specific educators to support placements and ongoing servicesAttend at least two annual KVC‑hosted events to engage and retain Shared Living ProvidersFinancial & Documentation Responsibilities
Manage representative payee accounts, including :Communication with Social Security and Medicaid
Organizing direct deposits and eligibility renewalsReconcile receipts and monthly ledgers; send quarterly updates to participants and guardiansEnsure all managed accounts meet Social Security, banking, and KVC guidelinesComplete and maintain accurate documentation and records as requiredLeadership & Professionalism
Demonstrate leadership through excellent customer service, community collaboration, and professional integrityMaintain flexibility in responding to participant and provider needs as they arisePerform other duties as assigned to support program quality and participant successBehavioral Expectations
