Transplant Nephrologist

The UT Health San Antonio at the Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine, Transplant Center is seeking an

academic Assistant / Associate Professor to serve as an adult Transplant Nephrologist in our high-quality program, which recently celebrated its th anniversary. Requirements include a Texas Medical License or ability to obtain, Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Nephrology and completion of a fellowship in Transplant Nephrology.

Candidates will perform clinical work in our robust multi-organ Transplant Center in collaboration with our seasoned Transplant Medicine teams, Nephrology fellows and a cadre of inpatient and outpatient renal Transplant APPs.

Candidates will have teaching responsibilities for residents, fellows and medical students and take an active role in a multitude of exciting quality, research, academic and strategic initiatives.

Voluntary retirement programs are also available to invest before- or after-tax dollars with the choice of five quality retirement plan providers.

Time Off- A generous leave program offers multiple paid leave options :

Front-loaded Paid Time Off : to hours ( to days) of Paid Time Off based on years of service, given at the start of each fiscal year. PTO may be prorated in year one based on date of hire.

Extended Illness Bank : hours ( day) accrued per month which can be used for illness or injury after one day of Paid Time Off is taken.

Paid Family Leave : Up to hours ( weeks) to care for a spouse, child, or parent after months of consecutive employment.

Holidays : set paid holidays each year plus three floating holidays, which can be used anytime during the fiscal year.
