Summary of Duties

The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing maintaining and repairing electrical systems wiring fixtures and equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) local building codes and company safety standards. This role includes troubleshooting electrical issues performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance and supporting upgrades remodels and new construction projects. The position also involves collaborating with other departments to minimize operational disruptions responding to emergency calls maintaining accurate documentation managing inventory of supplies and mentoring less experienced team members as needed. This position performs duties with or without direct supervision and serves as a general facilities technician when electrical specific work is not required.

Position Purpose

The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment throughout the casino and resort property. This role ensures a safe efficient and reliable operation of all electrical components including lighting and power systems to support a seamless guest and team member experience.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
• Knowledge of electrical systems components and equipment used in commercial and industrial settings.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations related to electrical and general maintenance work.
• Basic understanding of HVAC plumbing carpentry and general building systems. Knowledge of tools materials and techniques used in both electrical and facilities maintenance.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints schematics and technical manuals.
• Skilled in diagnosing and repairing electrical issues using appropriate testing equipment.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
• Competent in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills for tracking work orders and inventory.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for coordinating with other departments.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in physically demanding environments.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and perform a variety of maintenance tasks beyond electrical work.
• Ability to mentor and guide apprentices or junior staff.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards in a sensitive operational environment.
