Job Title : Controls Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Controls Engineer with over five years of hands-on experience. The candidate should have project management experience and the ability to manage projects from concept through to customer acceptance.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee projects from concept through to customer acceptance.

Work independently to define Scope, Specifications, Bill of Materials, and Design.

Create technical drawings and provide technical support for project managers, estimators, and install teams.

Conduct technical reviews both internally and externally.

Program and set up equipment as necessary.

Be available onsite during installation dates, which may include weekends, some holidays, and off shifts.

Essential Skills

Five or more years of experience in control engineering.

Proficiency in CAD for creating and modifying drawings.

Experience with project management.

Knowledge of industrial automation, including HMI, PLC, and industrial networks.

Experience with manufacturers like Rockwell AB, Mitsubishi PLC and CNC, Omron, Sick, Keyence, Fanuc Robotics and CNC, ABB.

Skills in PLC programming, automation, HMI, electrical controls engineering, design, AutoCAD, and equipment installation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with some industrial controls and project management experience.

Associate degree in Electrical Engineering with over five years of industrial controls and project management experience.

Ten or more years of industrial controls experience with project management.

Engineering affiliations or certifications (bonus).

TUV or safety certifications (bonus).

PMP or project management licensing (bonus).

OSHA 30 or safety training (bonus).

Work Environment

The position requires onsite work at a client facility overseeing the installation of equipment. The candidate must be prepared to work during installation dates, which may include weekends, some holidays, and off shifts.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jackson, MS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00 / hr.
