Atrium Health Navicent is seeking a highly qualified Neonatologist to join our esteemed team at the newly renovated Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital in Macon, Georgia. This is an exceptional opportunity to provide specialized neonatal care in a vibrant, state-of-the-art facility, serving as a vital perinatal and neonatal regional center for Georgia.

- Located at 888 Pine Street, Macon, GA 31201
- Home to a 66-bed, Level-III NICU equipped with advanced technology including high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide therapy, and brain cooling
- The only dedicated pediatric hospital in central and south Georgia

- Part of a Level-I trauma center and designated regional perinatal / neonatal center in Georgia
- Newly opened 50,000-square-foot neonatal intensive care unit (2019)
Position Details :
Full-time, permanent (Perm) role26 weeks per year schedule : one week on, one week offDaily patient rounds with on-call responsibilities from home every other nightCollaborative practice with experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs) and readily available subspecialty supportClinical appointment available with Mercer Medical School, enhancing professional growth and academic involvementResponsibilities :
Provide comprehensive neonatal inpatient care for critically ill neonatesOversee high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide therapy, and brain cooling proceduresCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomesParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and policy developmentEngage in teaching and mentoring of residents and NNPsQualifications :
Board Certified or Board Eligible in NeonatologyActive Georgia medical license or eligible for licensure in GeorgiaStrong clinical skills with a commitment to high-quality neonatal careExcellent communication and teamwork skillsCompensation & Benefits :
