[job_card.job_description]Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN or DNP). Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of Michigan. National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., FNP, AGNP) from a recognized certifying body (e.g., AANP or ANCC). Prior experience in urgent care and / or primary care preferred. Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills. Commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork The starting salary range for this full-time role is highly competitive, equivalent to $120,000 - $140,000 annually. Sumpter Medical Center is committed to hiring top talent. We are open to discussing compensation above this range for candidates with exceptional experience and specialized skills . Sumpter Medical Center is a patient-centered urgent care and primary care facility dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate healthcare to our community. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing medical team and support our mission of delivering exceptional care across both urgent and primary care services.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct patient assessments, histories, and physical exams.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs and imaging.
- Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications within NP scope of practice .
- Provide patient education, counseling, and preventive care.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and follow clinical protocols.
