Description :

Join our team as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in pulmonary care.
This full-time position is based in Bronx, NY, and involves working with patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Responsibilities include patient assessments, chronic disease management, and supporting pulmonary procedures.

Requirements :

Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients with pulmonary conditions.

Order and interpret diagnostic tests like chest imaging and pulmonary function tests.

Manage chronic respiratory diseases with supervising physicians.

Educate patients and families on treatment plans and lifestyle modifications.

Assist with or perform procedures such as thoracentesis and bronchoscopy.

Provide inpatient consults and discharge planning.

Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice.

Qualifications :

PA : Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a Master's degree.

NP : Master's or Doctorate in Nursing with a concentration in Adult, Family, or Acute Care.

Current state licensure as a PA or NP.

National certification (NCCPA for PAs; AANP / ANCC for NPs).

DEA license and prescriptive authority.

BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred if working with pediatric populations.

1-2 years in pulmonary, internal medicine, or critical care preferred.
