Security Bike Officer The Strat
Monitors and patrols assigned areas to provide a safe environment for guests, employees, the company, and their property. Provides outstanding guest service to guests with questions and / or concerns. Essential functions and responsibilities include : providing protection for the casino and its employees and guests, guarding all transfers of moneys and tokens, chips, and credits on the casino floor, performing the duties of a security officer, completing all incident reports pertaining to outside patrol issues, controlling the flow of traffic at the entrance of the garage and inside the garage, patrolling the north and west garage, the north lot, the Sulinda lot and building, and all exterior areas of the property, escorting armored car personnel around the property, functioning as fire control center officer and time officer to relieve other officers for their breaks, escorting trespassing individuals off property, assisting guests in locating lost vehicles, maintaining bicycle in operating condition, investigating auto accidents, acting as a liaison between guests and Taxi Authority, securing the operations office during in-custody situations, responding to the pod during alarm situations, answering guest questions, providing directions to guests, and assisting guests with any challenges that the guest brings to attention. Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position. Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements : Qualifications include at least one year of law enforcement, military or EMT experience highly preferred, excellent guest service skills, proven experience using sound judgment and making appropriate decisions during challenging situations and / or interacting with challenging patrons, ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals and ability to write routine reports and correspondence, ability to effectively communicate in English and via portable radios, ability to demonstrate proficiency with authorized handgun and qualify on the range every six months, proven experience providing high level of guest service, working knowledge of Microsoft operating system and applications preferred, must be at least 21 years old, high school diploma or equivalent preferred, ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal, obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company, verify right to work in the United States Work Cards, alcohol awareness, Nevada Gaming, valid Nevada Driver License, 10-year DMV driving record, must be able to qualify under Golden Entertainment requirements with his / her weapon under PILB guidelines.
Physical requirements include ability to ride a bicycle for the duration of an eight-hour shift, must maintain 300 lb or less weight limit, including uniform, constantly work indoors, stand, and walk throughout the property, occasionally lift up to 75 lbs. above head, occasionally lift and / or carry up to 75 lbs. at floor, knee, waist, and chest levels, occasionally bend, and / or stoop, occasionally squat, kneel, and sit, occasionally push / pull up to 75 lbs., occasionally run throughout assigned working zone as situations dictate, constant use of hearing and vision, distinguish between shades of color, use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity, ability to ascend or descend ladders, scaffolding, stairs and ramps, hearing, vision, speech, and literacy (critical).
