Robert Half is looking for an experienced Controller to oversee and enhance our clients' accounting operations. This role requires a strong leader who can manage financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and audits while fostering collaboration across departments. The Controller will play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity and driving process improvements to support organizational growth.
Responsibilities :
- Supervise daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and billing processes.
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Oversee account reconciliations, entries, and adjustments while maintaining strong internal controls.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and workflows to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
- Prepare and present financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Conduct variance analyses and provide actionable insights to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Coordinate annual audits, quarterly reviews, and tax filings, ensuring compliance and clean audits.
- Lead the selection and optimization of financial management systems and drive automation initiatives.
- Mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support strategic initiatives.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including prior roles as a Controller or Assistant Controller.Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.Proven experience managing audits, tax filings, and budgeting processes.Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel capabilities.Strong background in month-end close procedures and financial statement preparation.Experience in real estate, property management, or construction industries is a plus.Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate across departments.
