Pool Operator / Technician

Description

Pool Leader- Minimum eligibility for a Pool Leader is 1 year experience of waterpark lifeguarding. Pool Leaders MUST be lifeguard certified (Red Cross Training), Aquatics Management certified (Red Cross Training) and have their Title 22 Pool Operator Certificate. Pool Operators will be subject to a level 2 background screening (Fingerprinting), (Varies by Location).

Ensure the safety of all pool users, enforce pool rules, and oversee lifeguards during operating hours.

Supervise all lifeguards and ensure that they are enforcing all pool rules.

Regularly test and balance water chemistry (chlorine, pH, etc.) and monitor filtration and circulation systems

Inspect, maintain, and repair pool equipment and surrounding facilities to ensure proper function and safety.

Inspect and maintain the lifeguard equipment is neat, organized, and in working condition for daily operations.

Manage daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, and complete required daily reports.

Make periodic patrols of the area assigned to yourself.

Rescue swimmers and perform appropriate rescues or first aid.

Provide information to guests as needed.

Interact with patrons, communicate facility rules, and address concerns in a professional manner.

Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the pool, deck and surrounding areas, including routine cleaning tasks

Conduct attraction safety inspections daily before operating hours.

Conduct lifeguard audits and document the results with the approval from the facility director.

Ensure that the lifeguards all take their lunch and breaks when needed.

Holidays are mandatory as this position is seasonal. These holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.
