Administrative Office Assistant (Part-Time, Temporary)
Penmac Staffing is now hiring a part-time Administrative Office Assistant for a local client. This temporary role offers up to 20 hours per week and supports front office operations at a busy public-facing facility. The schedule is set and falls within the client’s office hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Schedule for the Administrative Office Assistant
- Monday: 1:00pm–4:30pm
- Tuesday: 1:00pm–4:30pm
- Wednesday: 9:00am–12:30pm
- Thursday: 1:00pm–4:30pm
- Friday: 1:00pm–4:30pm
Pay rate: $15.25 per hour Responsibilities for the Administrative Office Assistant
The Administrative Office Assistant will support daily operations and provide excellent customer service to the public. Duties include:
- Answering incoming phone calls, assisting callers with questions about policies and services, giving directions, and documenting conversations.
- Generating monthly reminder letters for registrations, checking for expired registrations, and contacting owners to update information.
- Processing and validating citation information in Shelter Pro.
- Taking payments over the phone for registrations and fees.
- Assisting in-person customers when the shelter coordinator is unavailable.
- Filing, organizing paperwork, and maintaining office supply inventory.
- Supporting the shelter coordinator and senior staff with clerical and research tasks as assigned.
Requirements for the Administrative Office Assistant
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Comfortable handling a high volume of phone calls.
- Basic computer proficiency; ability to learn software such as Shelter Pro.
- Ability to perform light cleaning tasks.
- Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check.
