Linux Engineer

• Architect, deploy, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 systems across production and development environments.
• Automate system provisioning, configuration, and patching using tools like Ansible, Satellite, or similar.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Implement and maintain security best practices including SELinux, firewalld, and system hardening.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to support Linux-based workloads.
• Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide escalation support for critical Linux-related incidents.
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and testing for Linux systems.
• Manage system implementations or upgrades as projects arise as well as perform periodic maintenance
• Participate in costing efforts for projects, providing cost and sizing estimates
• 5+ years of experience in Linux systems engineering, with at least 2 years focused on RHEL 8 / 9.
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python) and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Terriform).
• Familiarity with containerization (Podman, Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Experience with SAN / NAS storage integration in Linux environments.
• Experience in VMWare is required.
• Experience in Cloud (Azure) a plus.
• Experience with Windows server a plus

Salary Range- $70,000-$75,000 a year
