Locum Tenens Opportunity : Hematology / Oncology Physician Near Lakehead, CA

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Hematology / Oncology Physician for a locum tenens position near Lakehead, CA. Schedule :
• Weekdays

Monday through Thursday, 7 : 00 AM - 5 : 30 PM, with night call coverage.

• Weekends

24-hour remote call coverage from Friday through Sunday.

Key Responsibilities :

Patient Care

Diagnose, stage, and manage symptoms for Hematology / Oncology patients.

• Oversee precision medicine and all aspects of treatment, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other therapeutic procedures.
• Provide MD oversight for both the Oncology / Hematology clinic and Infusion Services.
• Ensure MD presence onsite at the Infusion Center during all treatments.

Infusion Services

The Infusion Center offers chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood and platelet transfusions, hormone therapy, antibiotic therapy, rheumatoid arthritis injections, and therapeutic phlebotomies.

• Note

Bone marrow biopsies are referred to an outside provider.

Support Staff :

• The physician will be supported by a dedicated team, including :

1 Clinic RN

• 2 Medical Assistants (MAs)
• 2 Front Office Clerks
• 1 Quality Analyst / Billing Specialist
• 3 Infusion RNs

Qualifications :

• Board Certification

Required in Hematology / Oncology

• Certifications

ACLS, BLS, DEA

• Licensure

Must have an active California state license
