Position Summary
The Program Manager plans and directs the operations of the program and manages staff ensuring optimum performance. This position also maintains procedures for operating efficiently and effectively and supervises a team of staff providing evidence based community justice services.
Salary
$75,000
Education And Experience / Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus three years of supervisory experience is required. Experience working with substance use, mental health and / or intervention programs in a criminal justice setting required. Demonstrated ability and / or exceptional performance within a CSSD funded or Wheeler Clinic program may be substituted for experience, with approval.
Displays excellent work habits (attendance, promptness, timeliness, professionalism), is open to feedback, and makes good use of time. Proven ability to work on a team to ensure program goals are met, communicates effectively verbally and in writing, and is committed to personal and program growth. Demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making by maintaining the ability to plan, organize, disseminate information, and analyze and resolve problems. Motivates staff, coaches, and promotes team work.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Maintains accountability for the achievement of program(s) goals and staff compliance with organizational and funder goals and deadlines (e.g., certifications, training, standards, Risk Reduction Indicators, benchmarks).
Determines staffing requirements, hires and trains new staff, and supervises staff according to overall policy.
Mitigates team conflict and communication problems. Sets and manages expectations.
Conducts effective performance evaluations, sets goals and objectives, and monitors performance. Helps team execute career development plans.
Identifies and suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions. Implements change when possible to maximize operating efficiency.
Develops annual program budget and establishes fiscal priorities.
Operates as part of a team by providing program coverage for client services outside of normal work schedule, typical job function or primary work site, as needed (e.g., additional evening shifts may be required to ensure operational coverage).
Demonstrates effective time management as evidenced by timely, thorough follow through on assignments.
Continues to develop knowledge and understanding about the history, traditions, values, family systems, and artistic expression of groups served as well as uses appropriate methodological approaches, skills, and techniques that reflect an understanding of culture.
