Safety Manager
Position Overview
The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing safety policies and programs to ensure a safe work environment for all employees. This role involves conducting safety training, performing risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations. The Safety Manager will work closely with management and staff to promote a culture of safety and prevent accidents and injuries on construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide safety training and education for staff to promote awareness and adherence to safety practices.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with management to foster a culture of safety and ensure that safety initiatives are supported throughout the organization.
- Maintain records of safety incidents, training, and compliance documentation.
- Stay updated on industry safety trends and regulations, and recommend improvements to safety programs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field.Proven experience as a Safety Manager or similar role in the construction industry.In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.Certification in CPR and First Aid is required.Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively train and motivate staff.Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve safety performance.Benefits
