What We Are Looking For

GVEC is looking to hire a full-time HVAC Chiller Technician to join our Facilities team! As an HVAC Chiller Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance inspections, repairs, monitoring building control systems and troubleshooting all HVAC and chiller systems up to 80 tons at GVEC facilities.

How You’ll Help

  • Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to minimize downtime and increase longevity
  • Complete and maintain the highest standards of quality on all work performed using GVEC procedures, manufacturer’s specifications and federal and local code requirements
  • Maintain necessary inventories of all supplies
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and HVAC resources
  • Must work overtime and on weekends as required

Experience / Skills You’ll Need

  • Strenuous work including and not limited to, significant standing, walking, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling and reaching as required to perform job duties
  • Must have the ability to lift 25 lbs. on a consistent basis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly, accurately
  • Self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic
  • Able to work independently with impeccable sense of integrity
  • Strong fundamentals in working with mobile technology-based devices and quickly learn field software
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to effectively troubleshoot issues independently
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively evaluate and manage conflicting priorities
  • EPA Universal Certification
  • Minimum 3 years of Chiller System experience

    • Preferred Experience / Skills

  • TDLRA HVAC Class A License
  • Experience on HVAC systems up to 100 tons

    • Your Pay

    The pay range for this role is between $30 - $39 per hour and will be commensurate based on your skills, qualifications and experience. In addition, GVEC ties cash bonuses to a multitude of Cooperative benchmarks set forth annually.
