Job Summary
The City of Fort Collins is looking for a versatile technology professional to fill an Analyst II, Applications Software (Police Services) position. As a member of a dynamic support team, you'll manage a very diverse array of systems and applications based on the needs of our Police Services unit. Engagement with multiple departments, including the central IT team and Larimer County agencies, includes maintaining positive working relationships with key sponsors and stakeholders.
This role cultivates opportunities for innovation, devising or modifying technology options to solve problems while you utilize your project management and documentation skills to provide key deliverables. The successful candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of Windows-based operating systems and applications, a multitude of hardware, Crystal Reports / PowerBI, and experience providing general server and application support. In addition, the successful candidate will possess strong-to-superior analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and will have the proven ability to establish effective working relationships with customers, co-workers, and vendors.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with Public Safety technology, and business practices and have experience supporting Computer Aided Dispatch and Records Management Systems. Three to five years of related experience is expected; or an equivalent combination of experience and education in computer science, CIS, or a related field. The Analyst II position has a standard Monday - Friday schedule with an on-call rotation that will alternate weekly. The initial onboarding and training period will be mostly in-person; after several months, it will evolve to allow for about one day of remote work per week.
