Mechanical Assembler
Nammo Defense Systems Inc., a defense contractor, manufactures and supports shoulder-fired systems; energetic material solutions such as aircraft emergency escape systems, actuation devices, rocket motors, warheads, medium & large caliber ammunitions, mortar ammunition; and composite solutions including carbon fiber tubes and composite aero-structures.

Primary Responsibilities of a Mechanical Assembler
Places parts in specific relationship to each other with extreme accuracyOperates and tends automatic and manual processing equipmentUses a variety of hand and power tools, jigs and fixturesWorks at different workstations as production needs requirePerforms general daily housekeeping and cleaning of equipment and area to ensure a safe working condition for all employeesPerforms general maintenance of equipment as requiredAbility to recognize and report all operational variances as trainedExperience Required to be a Mechanical Assembler
High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is requiredExperience in manufacturing, assembly, and packaging preferredAbility to obtain / maintain BATF approval to work with our productsRequired Skills as a Mechanical Assembler
Ability to accurately read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manualsAbility to be at work on time and on a consistent basisExcellent team interaction and communication is a priority for this roleMust be able to read, write and speak English fluentlyAbility to meet the physical demands of the job, including the movement of materials weighing 5-50 lbsAbility to obtain BATF approval to engage in certain explosive operationsNote: Due to US Export Control laws and regulations; applicants selected for employment must show proof of a U.S. Person status before employment may begin.
