Pricing Analyst

Job Description:

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE As a Pricing Analyst, your mission is to improve overall margins by analyzing historical and market data, while ensuring items are adequately priced and customers properly segmented to support the company sales and profitability objectives.

THE QUALIFICATIONS
•Direct experience & involvement in overall margin (bottom line) improvement Strong analytical, organizational and detail-oriented skills
• Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
• Ability to effectively prioritize while managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
• Strong understanding of how the responsibilities of the Pricing Analyst position interacts with and impacts the rest of the company’s systems and processes Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and business intelligence tools

NICE TO HAVE'S
• Experience using advanced SQL queries and knowledge in database administration (Microsoft SQL) are a plus

JOB DUTIES

• Develop and implement pricing strategies in tandem with marketing department in an on-going effort to maintain and increase overall margins

• Drive and maintain Strategic Pricing module in ERP (SparxIQ)

• Train and support the sales teams to uphold pricing guidelines

• Analyze market and work closely with Inventory Analyst to update prices as needed (protect the margin when pricing deviations are available)
• Work with product managers in support of sales promotions to offer special prices to customers when necessary

• Establish a forecast revenue and market share information: use statistical modeling methods to prepare reports that show the potential impact of various pricing strategies, including their effect on margins and costs and how they will impact profitability and sales volume

Analyze competitor pricing, assess market share and margins

Analyze customer engagement in order to gain a complete picture of effective pricing strategies for the company’s product offerings

Performs other related duties as required
