Mechanical Designer

A company is looking for a Mechanical Designer to support the design of advanced Generation IV nuclear reactors.

Key Responsibilities

Produce 3D CAD models and maintain complex mechanical designs

Support various analyses and document design progress using collaboration tools

Create engineering drawings and perform tolerance stack-up calculations while ensuring compliance with ASME standards

Required Qualifications

B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or equivalent and 3+ years of relevant experience

Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD

Demonstrated experience with GD&T and checking fabrication drawings

Background in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)

Experience using a Product Data Management (PDM) system preferred
