What this job involves :

JLL is seeking a Mobile Chief Engineer to oversee the operations of a state-wide team of mobile engineers supporting multi-agency properties. You'll be responsible for maintaining the continuous operation of all building systems across a diverse portfolio while emphasizing hands-on maintenance work and developing comprehensive maintenance strategies. This dynamic role requires strong leadership skills to manage and mentor maintenance staff while collaborating with facility managers to meet financial targets and ensure operational excellence. You'll play a critical role in maintaining infrastructure compliance, managing major projects according to industry best practices, and serving as a role model for supporting team members across multiple locations.

What your day-to-day will look like :

• Oversee maintenance and continuous operation of building systems across state-wide portfolio while performing hands-on maintenance work
• Develop and implement documented maintenance plans including preventive, predictive, and reactive procedures using CMMS systems
• Identify and address safety hazards, maintain PPE compliance, and administer safety training programs across multiple sites
• Keep detailed records of building rounds, engineering logs, and data sheets while ensuring infrastructure and compliance documentation
• Collaborate with facility managers to meet financial targets, handle budgets, and manage major projects according to industry best practices
• Supervise, train, and mentor maintenance staff while serving as on-call support 24 hours per day for emergency response
• Travel between multiple buildings and sites while working in varying environmental conditions and maintaining regular attendance
