Possess intermediate knowledge of Windows and Linux server management and support. Possess Intermediate knowledge of HTTP Server (IIS, Apache) installation, management and support. Possess knowledge of managing deployments with Azure DevOps or similar systems. Possess knowledge of Active Directory and LDAP. Possess Intermediate knowledge of WebSphere (Traditional and Liberty) installation, management and support. Possess Intermediate knowledge of PowerShell and SQL scripting.
The Application Systems Specialist (Technical Analyst) to assist in the day-to-day support and managing of middleware, vendor applications, business applications, and DevOps process. You will assist in the day-to-day operations of supporting application development staff and line of business customers. The Application Systems Specialist will have contact with all levels of personnel, both within and outside of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in monitoring and support of all systems and applications assigned to the department.
- Provide swat team style support to development projects, by resolving problems of a base complexity, technical nature. Helps projects remain on track with very aggressive schedules.
- Participate in managing software application deployments following departments DevOps standards.
- Assists in developing PowerShell and other scripts to support the management of systems, applications, and the DevOps process.
- Assist in developing SQL scripts to support the management of data.
- Assists in developing standards / guidelines that influence implementation of existing and new technologies throughout development staff.
- Functions as a coordinator of activities within and between programming departments and / or between operating departments and programming departments.
- Provide intermediate technical and problems analysis for Windows, Linux, middleware and applications.
