Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele Float position requiring a MO or compact RN license and at least two years of nursing experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital-based Med / Surg Telemetry Float Pool
  • Progressive Care, Med Surg Telemetry, and ED Observation units included in float assignments
  • Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19 : 00–07 : 30)
  • Mandatory floating to various units, including acting as a Patient Observer (Sitter)
  • Patient population includes med / surg, telemetry, and observation cases
  • Uses Cerner EMR (experience preferred but not required)
  • Every other weekend and 50% holiday rotation required
  • Responsibilities include providing care across multiple units and adapting to various patient populations
  • Team structure includes collaboration with nursing staff and other healthcare team members
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Must be willing to float and perform Patient Observer (Sitter) duties as needed
  • Must work half of holidays during contract period
  • Local candidates within 75 miles are accepted at a lower rate
  • A minimum nine-month gap is required between assignments to return as a traveler

  • Active MO or compact RN license required
  • Minimum two years of overall RN experience
  • At least one year of experience in med / surg or telemetry specialty required
  • Required certifications : BLS
  • CPI Blue Card required if floating to Behavioral Health but can be obtained onsite
  • Cerner EMR experience preferred
