Staff Accountant

About the Role :

As a Staff Accountant at Landing , you’ll play an active role in shaping the financial foundation of a fast-growing startup. You’ll collaborate closely with our Operations, Finance, and Accounting teams to own key responsibilities like balance sheet and P&L reviews. More than just day-to-day accounting, this role puts you at the center of building and evolving new processes that scale with the business. What You’ll Do :

• Drive the timely and accurate completion of month-end close activities, supporting key business decisions with up-to-date financials.
• Analyze monthly P&L data to verify correct accounting treatment, providing clear variance explanations to department leadership.
• Manage partner payouts with precision, ensuring accurate and timely disbursements in line with revenue share agreements.
• Lead the development and enhancement of partner reporting processes, supporting automation efforts to improve scalability and efficiency.
• Conduct internal audits and validation checks to ensure the accuracy of monthly revenue share calculations and maintain system integrity.
• Prepare and post journal entries and manage monthly accruals, playing an essential role in the month-end close process.
• Own bank account and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate and reliable financial reporting.
