PACKAGING OPERATOR | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION :
Location : Sparks Glencoe MD 21152 – 100% On-site
Payrate : $17.82 / hr
Required Availability : Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM
PACKAGING OPERATOR | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS :
The Packaging Operator is responsible for labeling, inspecting, and packaging final container products using manual and automated packaging systems. This role supports daily manufacturing operations while ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with established procedures.
This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

PACKAGING OPERATOR | RESPONSIBILITIES :
Package materials in accordance with Standard Manufacturing Procedures (SMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Set up, operate, clean, and perform changeovers on packaging and labeling equipment
Fill, assemble, label, and inspect products under general supervision
Accurately weigh materials within established tolerances
Maintain detailed and accurate production records, including logs and batch documentation
Perform data entry and generate computer-based labels
Identify and troubleshoot basic equipment or process issues
Communicate effectively with team members across shifts
Follow all safety, housekeeping, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines
Assist with moving materials using appropriate material-handling equipment
Work overtime as needed to meet business demands
Perform other related duties as assigned
PACKAGING OPERATOR | REQUIREMENTS :
Education : High School Diploma or GED (verifiable) required
Attendance : Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
1+ year of manufacturing or warehouse experience required
1+ year of experience in an FDA-regulated or similarly regulated environment required
Ability to perform repetitive, routine tasks while recognizing deviations from specifications
Strong attention to detail with accurate record-keeping skills (manual and electronic)
Basic computer proficiency, including Windows-based systems
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Comfortable performing basic math and following diagrams or charts
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a repetitive environment
Forklift certification may be required
