Certifications and Licenses

State Licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (RT) — Required to practice within the state and ensure compliance with all licensing regulations. \nRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) — Preferred but not mandatory. \nCPR / BLS certification — Must be current and maintained throughout the assignment. \n\n\n
Key Responsibilities :
\n \n
Provide advanced respiratory care to patients suffering from breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders, including performing assessments, delivering treatments, and managing mechanical ventilation.\nCollaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement effective patient care plans tailored to individual needs.\nMonitor patient responses to therapies, making necessary adjustments to optimize health outcomes.\nDocument all interventions, treatments, and patient progress accurately, adhering to hospital policies and regulatory standards.\nEducate patients and their families on respiratory health, proper equipment use, and management strategies.\nMaintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to ensure safety, accuracy, and infection control compliance.\n\n\n
What You Bring : \n \n
Proven experience as a Respiratory Therapist in acute or critical care settings such as ICU, emergency, or medical-surgical units.\nIn-depth knowledge of mechanical ventilation, airway management, and pulmonary diagnostics.\nStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with both medical teams and patients.\nAdaptability to rapidly changing clinical situations and prioritization of patient needs.\nAttention to detail with excellent record-keeping and adherence to compliance standards.\n\n\n
Preferred Education & Experience :

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related health field.\nMinimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience, particularly in intensive care, emergency, or medical-surgical environments.\nFamiliarity with the latest respiratory care technologies and protocols.\n\n\n
